Abstract: Under the background of continuous breakthroughs in new technologies, profound changes in the value demands and ideas of the people, and the sharp increase in the risks of ideological governance, it is necessary to innovate and develop ideological governance theory based on the classic Marxist writers’ assertions on the relationship between ideology and science and technology, combined with new realities. We should face up to the challenges such as the “instability” of traditional ideological governance caused by the impact of new technological change, the “asymmetricality” between the ideologicalization of technology and the technicalization of ideology, and the “break and imbalance” of economic governance and ideological governance caused by new technological change, adhere to systematic thinking, and improve the Party’s comprehensive leadership mechanism on the ideological work, adjust the layout of the state-owned economy, and innovate the way of ideological dissemination, improve the dual education mechanism, and continuously improve the ability of ideological governance.
