Abstract: Dialectical thinking is a scientific way of thinking that grasps the essence of things from the relationship of interactions. The strategic thought of self-revolution of the CPC follows the dialectical unity of the theoretical logic of Marxist political parties and the practical logic of socialism with Chinese characteristics, which essentially embodies the process of the negation of negation of self-purification, self-improvement, self-renovation and self-improvement of the Party. In terms of connotation, self-revolution is the CPC’s profound adherence to its own political attributes, systematic summary of its historical experience of a centenary struggle, sharp weapon to deal with the great struggle, and key to mastering the historical initiative. In terms of practical path, self-revolution insists on the dialectical unity of self-discipline and restraint by others, the dialectical unity of consolidating the foundation and forging ahead in an innovative and enterprising spirit, the dialectical unity of the overall situation and key priorities, and the dialectical unity of implementing reforms of oneself and of others, so as to realize the synergy between the cause of the Party’s construction and the practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics. In terms of future orientation, self-revolution requires the close combination of adhering to the Party’s leadership and full and rigorous Party self-governance, continuing the spiritual genealogy and ideal and belief education as mutual support, strengthening the top-level design and improving the system of institutional norms as mutual convergence, and standing firm on the people’s position and innovating the supervision means to promote each other, so as to provide leadership power, cultural support, institutional guarantee and value guidance for opening up a new realm of self-revolution in the new journey. Self-revolution interprets the winning formula for our Party to adhere to and apply dialectical thinking to guide the process of the great practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics and to build a modern and powerful socialist country in a comprehensive manner.
