     Release time: 2024-06-13
Abstract: Out of the theoretical exploration of the communist revolution, to solve the real problem of the proletariat’s striving for the support of the peasants and to answer the specific problem of land ownership faced in the revolution, Marx and Engels made a lot of discussions on land ownership, indicating what the communists advocated on the issue of rural land: capitalist private ownership would eventually be replaced by communist public ownership, and after the proletariat took control of the state power, in addition to the implementation of land nationalization in the cities, public ownership of land should also be implemented in the countryside. The important form of public ownership of land in the countryside is collective ownership of land, and the main way to realize it is to establish cooperatives. Their ideas on cooperatives are the theoretical source of collective ownership of land by the working masses in the rural areas of socialism. Marx and Engels’s discourse on collective ownership of land has important guiding significance for the current reform of China’s rural land system.
