Release time: 2024-06-13
Abstract: Chinese-style modernization is the organic unity of the common characteristics and Chinese characteristics of modernization. Modernization refers to the process of continuous transformation of society from an underdeveloped state to a developed state along with the joint development of science and technology and socialized production. Chinese-style modernization is the process of transforming our society from an underdeveloped state to a developed state, the process of reaching a high level in terms of modernization in the development of science and technology, productivity and quality of life in our society, and the process of modern science and technology leading and promoting the productivity of our socialist society and the quality of the people’s life to catch up with and exceed the advanced level of the world. Chinese-style modernization is a socialist modernization led by the CPC, a modernization based on China’s conditions and from China’s reality, which, while developing common characteristics of modernization, necessarily has distinctive Chinese characteristics that are different from those of other countries’ modernization. Modernization with only the common characteristics and without Chinese characteristics, or that with only Chinese characteristics and without the common characteristics, is not Chinese-style modernization.
