Self-revolution serves as the fundamental guarantee for the proletarian political party to advance social revolution and fulfill its historical mission, a theme that Marx and Engels explored throughout their lives. From a generative logic perspective, their ideas on the self-revolution of proletarian political parties evolved through four stages: germination, establishment, development and perfection. This progression reflects an ongoing effort to shape the correct direction and advanced form of revolutionary political party building, grounded in historical materialism, informed by the practical activities of proletarian parties, and oriented toward leading and promoting social revolution. At the core, Marx and Engels emphasized the importance of establishing an independent political party, enhancing ideological, guidance, correcting party conduct, and promoting systemic construction as effective strategies to boost the spiritual consciousness and proactive behavior of the proletarian political party in its self-revolution.Their theoretical exploration offers significant insights for the Communist Party of China to deepen the theory and practice of self-revolution in the new era.
