The intrinsic mechanism behind the frequent initiation of wars by the United States can be explained through the concept of war capitalism. American war capitalism refers to the use of war expenditures to alleviate periodic economic crises and attempts to maintain global hegemony through this means. It originates from the theories of “military Keynesianism” and the “permanent war economy” during World War II, manifesting as “Pentagon capitalism” and the alienation of states into “war companies”. American war capitalism not only exacerbates economic and social contradictions within the United States, posing a long-term threat to world prosperity and stability, but also challenges the peaceful international environment needed for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
