Following the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, President Xi Jinping has put forward a series of novel concepts, perspectives, and assertions regarding the maintenance of independence and clarified the historical context, historical significance, and practical path of maintaining independence. These have been based on the theoretical foundation of Marxism, the ideas of CPC members, and fine Chinese traditional culture. This significant statement holds great value in the present context. It provides a robust guarantee for safeguarding China’s sovereignty, security and development interests. Furthermore, it strengthens the momentum of all the people, points out the scientific direction for firmly taking the path of Chinese-style modernization, and contributes Chinese wisdom to the modernization of developing countries.
