Liu Tongfang: Understanding New Qualitative Productivity with Historical Materialism
     Release time: 2024-07-10
New qualitative productivity is the inheritance and development of Marx’s theory of productive forces. The interpretation of productivity and their dialectical interaction with production relations by historical materialism provides a fundamental reference for us to understand the new qualitative productivity. From the perspective of historical materialism, the productivity are people’s ability of independent activities and their object results, and the material forces highlighted by the interaction of various production factors in the actual production practice. The development of productive forces depends on the continuous progress of production practice, which always develops in a common form and is restricted by certain relations of production. The new qualitative productivity is a profound grasp of the productivity as the object of human being in the present era from “tangible quality” to “intangible quality”, but also a profound understanding of the production practice as a “common activity” of human being in the contemporary leap. The new qualitative productivity takes scientific and technological innovation as the core element and green as the background color of development.which promotes Marx’s judgment on the relationship between science and technology and productivity, wealth creation and environmental protection, To develop the new qualitative productivity, we must deepen the reform of production relations and give full play to subjective initiative and active creativity on the basis of a deep understanding of the law of human society’s historical development revealed by historical materialism. The new qualitative productivity, as the development of Marxist productivity theory, provides a guide for economic modernization to drive the construction of a new form of human civilization.
