Building a Marxist political party that has been in power for a long time is a major task of the times. Since the founding of CPC, the discourse of “long-term governance”has presented a colorful historical picture. Centering on “long-term governance”, the Party not only has a variety of conceptual expressions, with many propositions and assertions, but also makes “long-term governance” a mission-like requirement, which fully proves that long-term governance has an important position and a key role in the Party’s governance discourse system and leadership discourse system. In the course of the history, the discourse of “long-term governance ” has undergone periodic changes, realizing the transformation from theoretical form to practical form,from conceptual breakthrough to systematic expression, and from discourse innovation to formal confirmation. In the new era, to continue to enhance the Party’s long-term governance ability, we must give play to the leading role of the “long-term governance” discourse, build an interpretation system for it, and enhance its practical identification validity.
