Over the past 100 years, the Communist Party of China has insisted on combining the basic principles of Marxism with China’s specific practices and the excellent traditional Chinese culture so as to carry out theoretical innovations. The Party has made three theoretical leaps in the process of China’s revolution, construction and reform,and has gained important experience in insisting on theoretical innovation. Such experience mainly includes the following aspects: we must adhere to the basic principles of Marxism; we must persevere in the modernization of Marxism; we must persist in focusing on what China is doing; and we must insist on constantly summarizing China’s practical experience.
