Xi Jinping stressed that “the people’s position should always be the fundamental position”. The Marxist position is the position of the working class, the position of the people and the position of the Party. The basic tenets of Marxism have laid the theoretical foundation for us to correctly understand what the Marxist position is and to adhere to it in the light of concrete reality. Mao Zedong’s thought and practice is an example of the high degree of unity between the working class position and the people’s position. Xi Jinping’s idea that “the people’s position must be upheld”adheres to the basic tenets of Marxism, inherits and develops the achievements of the sinicization of Marxism, summarizes the practical experience of the CPC, unifies the party,class and people’s nature of the Marxist party, and unifies the position of the Communists, the working class and the people. It has pointed the way for us to adhere to the Marxist position in the new era. Adhering to the people’s position is just “adhering to putting the people first”. We must adhere to the “people-centered”approach, must “stay true to the Party’s original aspiration and the founding mission”, and must promote selfrevolution. Adhering to the people’s position, we must adhere to the unification of Marxist position, viewpoints, methods.
