Without the establishment of the basic socialist system in the early days of the founding of New China, there would be no great achievements in the contemporary construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and there would be no way to start the construction of socialist modernization in China. The“three major reforms”with the core contents of“one transformation, three reforms”are the most extensive and profound social reforms carried out by the Chinese people under the leadership of the CPC in the exploration of China’s socialist construction. They realized the smooth transition from the new democratic revolution to the socialist society, established socialist public ownership as the basic economic system, socialist political institution, and comparatively complete socialist industrial system and etc., and accordingly opened up the road of China’s socialist modernization. The“three major reforms”laid the foundation for China’s socialist modernization, endowed it with distinct and essential socialist characteristics, and provided other developing countries with Chinese wisdom and China’s program.
