Qiu Weidong:From the October Revolution In 1917 to the Socialism with Chinese Characteristics
     Release time: 2017-10-29

The October Revolution in 1917 is a historical attempt launched by Bolshevik under the leadership of Lenin according to the gist of Das Eapital. However, the outburst and development of the revolution in real sense didn't completely follow the rules depicted in On Imperialism. Instead, developed capitalist countries witnessed increasingly accumulated capitals in the global expansion of capitalism, while poverty correspondingly aggravated in marginal or undeveloped countries and conditions for socialist emergence became globally isolated. The revolution is an inevitable outcome of such a background. Hence, we shall measure the October Revolution and consequential series of socialist revolutions and practice against the overall progress of global socialism rather than deny their achievements for the collapse of the former Soviet Union and tremendous changes to East Europe. The socialism with Chinese characteristics came with arduous and tortuous work. Since its root accorded with practical principles and internal requisites for socialism, the socialism with Chinese characteristics is undoubtedly live modern practice of the socialist pathway pioneered

by the 0ctober Revolution.
