Zhu Jiamu: On the Ruling Party's Being Revolutionary or Not and the Nature of the Present Epoch
     Release time: 2017-10-24

Although the Communist Party of China(CPC) believes that peace and development are the epochal characteristics of the contemporary world,it does not mean that it has ruled out the persistent danger of war. Countless facts also demonstrate that the world socialist movement has not disappeared but continues to develop today.CPC is therefore both a ruling party and a revolutionary party. That is to say, it is a revolutionary ruling party,or a ruling revolutionary party. The idea of “farewell to revolution”and the request that CPC should“transform from a revolutionary party to a ruling party”are untenable in theory and harmful in practice.  Such an idea and request may easily confuse the governance of CPC with that of bourgeois parties, which may lead to the abandonment of its goal and revolution tradition of serving the people.
