In general,the cultural character of ideology and the ideological character of culture exist and develop together, and the relationship between culture and ideology is the core and key question that must be addressed in the course of ideological construction. Ideological security is the necessary requirement and core content of cultural security,while cultural security is the effective means and fundamental guarantee for the realization ideological security. Only through the formation of cultural self-consciousness can we respond to challenges in the ideological construction,and only through establishing firm cultural self-confidence can we provide the cultural support for the ideological security.Cultural security self-consciousness and self-confidence are three main themes that require special attention in the construction of national ideological security from a cultural perspective. At present,under the circumstance of accelerated development of economic globalization, the consciousness of cultural security is of great significance to safeguarding ideological security.In the meantime,achieving ideological security requires a cultural confidence that is to be strengthened through creative transformation and innovative development of the positive parts in traditional Chinese culture,through the inheritance and development of the revolutionary culture,and through the cultivation and promotion of the advanced socialist culture.
