The socialist political economics with Chinese characteristics is the theoretical product and ideological quintessence of the close bond of Marxist economic theories with the reform and development China economy. It also demonstrates the persistence, improvement, and innovation of Marxist economic theories in the following aspects. Those theories include those of rudimentary contradictions and economic laws in a socialist society, those of centering on socialist public ownership as the mainstay and

sticking to fundamental socialist economic institutions, those of the close connection and interaction between the principle of distribution by labour and distribution by factors, that of the reasonable division and integration of macro control and market regulation, and those of the intrinsic differences and mutual connection between Marxist political economics and western economics. Facts suggest that we can not develop the socialist political economics with Chinese characteristics in a scientific way without a thorough study of the duality and diversity of socialism at primary stage as well as the principle of their co-existence and organic integration.
