Social Justice, as a value-oriented demand, is always the goal of people’s pursuit. Marx’s social justice theory has its own unique methodology: to discover a new world by critiquing the old. Based on the critique of the bourgeois abstract view of social justice, Marx found out the realistic way of solving the problem of justice in historical materialism, which will lead to the supersession of the old view of justice and ultimately, the establishment of communist society. Marx’s attitude to social justice is neither a simple negation nor a resolute refusal. It’s a supersession based on critique. If critique is the spirit of Marx’s social justice theory, then supersession constitutes its fundamental purport.
