The “Three Confidence” is a positive mindset, uncompromising political belief and rational wisdom on reform. In terms of its characteristics, it is not only the combination of the country’s confidence, the nation’s confidence, and the Party’s confidence, but also the that of historical consciousness, evaluation of social reality, and expectation for the future; it is not only the unification of law and purpose, but also the integration of nationalization and cosmopolitanism. In terms of its function, it is beneficial to the image building of the Party, social integrity, resolution of social conflicts, and redressing blind worship of foreign countries. It is through deepening the reform in an all-around way to promote sustainable development of Chinese economy and society, to strengthen cognitive and emotional ties of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and to master the method of evaluating socialism with Chinese characteristics in an objective way that we could promote the “Three Confidence” within the whole Party and whole society.
