Xin Xiangyang is the Deputy Secretary and President of the Academy of Marxism of the CASS, Deputy to the 14th National People’s Congress, President of School of Marxism of University of Chinese Academy of School Sciences, Deputy Director of Research Center for the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, Executive Director of Research Center for Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era of the CASS, Deputy Director of World Socialism Research Center, Research Fellow-Grade 2 and PhD supervisor. He graduated in 1991 from Renmin University of China, and attained the doctorate degree of laws. He was awarded with State Council Special Government Allowance in 2012, was honored “Four Batch Talents” in the publicity and cultural system of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee in 2015 and Leading Talents of the “Ten Thousand People Program” in 2016 by the Organization Department and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, Jury Member of both the National Social Science Foundation and the National Publication Fund. He also takes part in the social work as Invited Research Fellow of China Association for Ideological and Political Work, National Society for Party Building, and so on. His major research results include: more than 20 monographs, more than 30 books which he presided over the compilation of and participated in writing, more than 400 articles published in newspapers and academic journals such as People’s Daily, Guangming Daily, Studies on Marxism, Studies on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics and so on, presided over and participated in more than 50 national or provincial and ministerial level projects, and won more than 30 national as well as provincial and ministerial level awards.
