As a philosophical principle, agency demonstrates the distinctive revolutionary characteristics of Marxist philosophy, and sorting out the idea of agency is a necessary theoretical work to clarify the driving force of self revolution. Starting from the abstract agency of philosophy, Marx emphasized the “revolutionary” spirit contained in atomic deviation, and then recognized that the subject object relationship is an active sensory object relationship, breaking the binary framework. The principle of agency as a driving force for self revolution is not a conceptual fission of abstract identity, nor can it be explained based on the self alienation, self division, and self contradiction of consciousness (spirit). Self revolution is the most dialectical subject agency movement. The CPC actively realized the unity of subject and object in answering the question of self revolutionary power, actively overcame the theoretical crisis and ruling crisis, and actively realized the unity of Marxist world outlook and methodology. The theory of initiative provides a Marxist philosophical basis for the self revolution, highlights the revolutionary consciousness of the CPC, and is of great significance in enriching the interpretation of the philosophy methodology of the sinicization and modernization of Marxism in the new era.
