Based on historical research and practical investigation, Karl Marx profoundly expounded the inner logic of civilizational evolution, emphasizing the development of a future-oriented “truly universal civilization”. To deeply understand Marx’s profound exposition on “civilization”, objectify its profound theoretical enlightenment to the practical process of Chinese style modernization, and promote the combination of Marx’s view of civilization with the specific reality in China and the excellent traditional Chinese culture, we should uphold the cultural mission of the New Era, build the contemporary form of China’s Marxist view of civilization, and promote the progress of civilization in our era with the ideas and methods of harmonious development of civilization. Composing the splendid symphony of civilizational history at the spatial-temporal intersection in the world history, achieving new civilizational exchanges and international cooperation, and improving the modern order of civilizational development, are the inherent needs to create new forms of human civilization and also the civilizational path to constructing a community with a shared future for mankind.
