After World War II, the United States, took the lead in establishing a post-colonial system of financial empire on the basis of sovereign states.China, which was long on the periphery of this financial empire, gradually developed into the industrial center of the world, while the United States, under the dominance tendency of capitalist accumulation, gradually evolved from being both the industrial and financial center of the world to a singular global financial center. The separation between the financial center and industrial center in a global geographical context is a fundamental characteristic of the current world system. The relationship between China and the United States not only involves deep antagonism between the economic interests of the two countries, but also antagonism between their respective systems, i.e., socialism and financial capitalism. As the crisis within the financial empire deepens, China has become the primary target for the United States to export and transfer its crisis, and consequently, the US strategy towards China has undergone a significant shift.
