Mei Rongzheng:Deepening the Study on the Need, Possibilities and Innovations of the “ Second Integration”
     Release time: 2024-12-17

The “second integration” is the Party’s profound summary of the historical experience of adapting Marx-ism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times and its profound grasp of the laws of the development of Chinese civilization. Among the “second integration” , the prominence of fine traditional Chinese culture has attracted the most attention in the academic circle. The necessity lies in the fact that only by comprehensively and deeply studying, researching, grasping and inheriting the fine traditional Chinese culture can we comprehensively understand and unswervingly follow the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics; can we comprehensively understand the socialist culture with Chinese characteristics and build up a powerful cultural country: and can we build up the modern civilization of the Chinese nation, There is a high degree of compatibility between Marxism and fine traditional Chinese culture, which determines the possibility of integrating them. This compatibility can be seen in the relationship between the universal and the particular, the general and the individual that exists at the philosophical level, in the common attribute that distinguishes human beings as human beings from animals in general, in the fact that the basic tenets of Marxism contain elements that have been abstracted from the reality of China’s history, and in the fact that the “first integration” has long contained the integration of the basic tenets of Marxism and the fine traditional Chinese culture. The proposal of the “second integration” is a new liberation of thought and makes an innovative contribution, i. e. , it opens up a new realm of the principle of “integration”,clarifies the fundamental path to fulfill the “new cultural mission of the new era”, which has greatly enhanced the national consciousness and cohesion of the Chinese nation.
