Mao Ze-dong’s report to the Second Plenary Session of the Seventh CPC Central Committee is rich in theoretical ideas of modernization. Defining the nature of China’s modernization, and drawing up a blueprint for the course, the report is a world-leading theoretical document on modernization. Reviewing it, one can see that the theory of China’s modernization is in line with the general law of modernization path all over the world and the socialist nature of China’s modernization path. Against the current backdrop of comprehensively promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese modernization, rereading Mao’s report will not only bring us important insights. but also greatly enhance our confidence in building China into a socialist power and realizing socialist modernization.
