The grand historical perspective adheres to the worldview and methodology of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, and understand history from the vast spatial and temporal dimensions of historical evolution. While allowing us to investigate historical events and figures within the conjunctures of different times and global transformations, this perspective provides new angles and tools for critiquing historical nihilism. A critique of historical nihilism from a grand historical perspective means recognizing the idealist nature of historical nihilism through the lens of long-term historical evolution, highlighting its erroneous value-stance that deviates from the people against the tide of the times, and opposing historical nihilism as a serious political struggle amidst global historical dynamics. Currently, we should consolidate overall strength through comprehensive governance measures, and build strong will and capability to oppose historical nihilism.
