     Release time: 2024-04-16

Mao Zedong set “serving the people wholeheartedly” as purpose tenet of the Party. He explored and made unique, systematic and institutional achievements in the theories, policies, and working methods for establishing flesh-and-blood ties with the vast majority of people. This is an important contribution of the Chinese communists, especially Mao Zedong,to Marxism-Leninism. Mao Zedong’s thought of serving the people completely and wholeheartedly was born in the great practice of the Chinese revolution. In both adversity and prosperity, Mao Zedong always emphasized the need to serve the people, work for the people and rely on the people. To uphold the idea of serving the people wholeheartedly and people first,we must bear in mind the “two imperatives” and earnestly reshape our worldview. Xi Jinping thought on adhering to the people-first principle and people-centeredness represents the adherence to and development of Mao Zedong’s thought of “serving the people wholeheartedly”.
