Since the 18th CPC National Congress, the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has adhered to being problem-oriented, mission-leading , and upholding fundamental principles and breaking new ground, has exercised full and rigorous Party self-governance and promoted the Party’s self-revolution from the height of bearing on the life and death of the Party and the country, solving the unique problems of big parties, and jumping out of the historical cycle of rise and fall, and has creatively applied the concepts of modern governance, the concept of the system, and the dialectical thinking to the management and governance of the Party, and has carried out the practical, theoretical and institutional innovations while sticking closely to the major proposition of the times, i.e., “What kind of long-term ruling Marxist party is to be built in the new era and how to build it” and the theme and main line of Party building, which deepen the understanding of the regularity of the Party building, and form the important thoughts of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the Party building. In the new era, the conceptual innovation, theoretical innovation, institutional innovation and practical innovation of the Party building complement each other. The five aspects, including to summarize the general requirements for Party building in the new era to carry out systematic planning for Party building, to insist on and strengthen the overall leadership of the Party to form the theory of overall leadership of the Party in the new era, to promote exercising full and rigorous Party self-governance to build a system of exercising full and rigorous Party self-governance, to promote the Party’s self-revolution to form the theory of the self-revolution of the Party, and to put forward and promote the Party’s governance according to regulations to form the theory of the Party’s governance according to regulations, are the organic unity of the concept, theory, system, and method, and epitomize the major theoretical innovations of Party building in the new era, which is of pioneering significance.
