Xiao Nan、Zhang Xiaoping:Three perspectives on the problem of Marxist spatial separation: From the perspective of the relationship between capital and labor
     Release time: 2023-05-31

Spatial division is based on capital logic to pursue the maximization of surplus value, which leads to increasingly sharp class differences in spatial division, which is embodied in the opposition between bourgeoisie and proletariat on spatial issues. With the development of capitalism, the separation of working space and living space in capitalism has intensified, and the spatial separation has shown hierarchical characteristics, and the spatial separation between developed and developing countries has become increasingly serious. Capitalist spatial production is the root cause of spatial separation, spatial alienation intensifies spatial separation, and urban ideology causes the solidification of spatial separation. Realizing spatial justice is the essential requirement of socialism. We must start with changing the mode of production, change the current situation that spatial production is dominated by capital logic, and restore the social attribute of space as a public resource.
