Shi Zhongquan:The Greatest “God of War”: Mao Ze-dong at the Helm of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea
     Release time: 2023-05-15

Mao Ze-dong can be considered the greatest “god of war” in the history of the Chinese nation. The fact that he commanded the war to resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea for two years and nine months, namely 1000 days and nights, further highlights his reputation as a “god of war”. His extraordinary personal qualities of civil and military skills can be seen in the way he proposed and decided on the operational policies of the five battles that turned the tide of the Korean peninsula. He always insisted on the strategic idea that imperialism and all reactionaries are both paper tigers and real tigers, the idea that China and Korea are a community of destiny, and the idea that the righteous forces will prevail since one can achieve internal unity and popular support only by upholding justice and vice versa. Mao Ze-dong was not only a“god of war” in military struggle, but also a“supreme sage”in political negotiation. The two-year negotiation of resisting the United States and aiding Korea is one highlighted chapter of his great life. Let us constantly carry forward his spirit embedded in the war to resist U. S. aggression and aid Korea, dare to fight and win, push forward the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and strive hard to achieve the second centenary goal.
