Resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the Major Achievements and Historical Experience of the Party over the Past Century reviews in all respects the theoretical achievements and historical contributions of Communist Party of China in adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of our times over the past century. It makes for the first time such significant remarks as Mao Zedong Thought marked the first historic step in adapting Marxism to the Chinese context; the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics achieved a new breakthrough in adapting Marxism to the Chinese context; and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era represents a new breakthrough in adapting Marxism to the Chinese context. It brings about new interpretations on“adapting Marxism to the Chinese context”, and maintains “advancing theoretical innovation” as a very important historical experience. It enriches and develops the basic principles of Marxism, and embodies CPC’s high degree of theoretical selfconsciousness and historical confidence. It is a Marxist guiding document.
