In 2021, the theoretical research of scientific socialism showed a trend of mutual promotion between basic theory and practical hot issues. In the research of the basic theoretical problems of scientific socialism, Scholars have promoted research and achieved bright research results on the following issues: basic principles of scientific socialism, the essence of socialism, commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Paris Commune, the contribution of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to scientific socialism and so on. In the study of practical hot issues, Scholars have discussed the new development stage, completing the building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, and the road of Chinese modernization and so on. In addition, scholars have also summarized the development trend of world socialism. While fully affirming the achievements of academic circles in the research on the basic theory of scientific socialism in 2021, we should keep sober on the problems, that is, the research on the basic theory of scientific socialism still needs to be deepened. We should focus on the study of the basic problems of scientific socialism and promote the development of scientific socialism as a whole.
