Zhu Hong-zhao:On the Important Role of the Long March in the Formation of Mao Ze-dong Thought
     Release time: 2021-04-30

The Long March demonstrated the self-revolutionary and self-renewing quality of the Chinese Communists who were brave enough to reflect on and correct their mistakes. During the Long March, the leadership of the CPC demonstrated a superb function of self-correction. The mature Mao Ze-dong Thought developed during the Yan’an period came from the profound introspection during the Long March, grew out of the ideological approach and theoretical character of the Chinese Communists, represented mainly by Comrade Mao Ze-dong before the Long March, who delved into the reality of society, paid attention to investigation and research, and stressed concrete analysis of specific problems, and took shape in the early days of the long march to northern Shanxi and Yan’an, when Mao expounded a series of strategic issues of China’s revolutionary war and the protracted war against Japanese  Imperialism, whose core and living soul is to seek truth from facts, to start from reality and to analyse specific problems.
