Combining the basic tenets of Marxism with concrete national circumstances is the basic principle of adhering to and developing Marxism.This principle is based on the practical and theoretical reflections of the Communist Party of China(CPC),yet it is a universal Marxist principle and a successful path for insisting on and developing socialism.Both positive and negative historical experiences of CPC provide a practical basis for the establishment of such a principle of combination，and the dialectics and epistemology of Marxism provide its scientific theoretical basis.The combination principle consists of two basic points: sticking to Marxism as the guiding thought and sticking to the concrete national reality as the departure point. To adhere to the combination principle, we need not only firm belief and profound understanding of Marxism，but also intensive research and accurate grasping of social reality.
