To make people believe in a kind of disguised values that Mr. Dulles has said is to start a war without smoke of gunpowder, to change the values of the people of socialist countries with American values through erosion, permeation and gradual evolution, and ultimately, to change people’s ideal and faith, as well as their choice of path and institution. We should carefully study this kind of situation based on real struggles in the ideological field. The key to keep a firm grip of the leadership, administrative authority and discursive power is that the Party committee at each level fulfill their political duty and leading responsibility, study and grasp the fundamental tenets and methodology of historical materialism, and unify the distinctive and categorical characteristics of ideological issues with carrying forward the reform and opening up that is of decisive significance to the development in new period.
