Abstract: Adhering to the combination of Marxism and fine traditional Chinese culture is the summary of the CPC’s experience in promoting the adaption of Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of our times, the requirement of the times to continue to develop Marxism in contemporary China and Marxism in the 21st century, and an inevitable necessity for the success of socialism with Chinese characteristics, which reflects the CPC’s strong theoretical self-consciousness and cultural self-confidence. Cultural prosperity is the prerequisite and spiritual pillar for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. To realize the prosperity of Chinese culture, we need to make a perfect combination of the basic tenets of Marxism with the fine traditional Chinese culture, so as to better construct a strong Chinese spirit, Chinese values and Chinese power. Adhering to the combination of Marxism and fine traditional Chinese culture is the inevitable result of historical development, the inevitable requirement of the development of the times, and the inevitable choice of the Chinese people. We should scientifically understand and grasp the connotation of the combination of Marxism and fine traditional Chinese culture with the progress of history and the times. In the process of combining Marxism with fine traditional Chinese culture, we should promote the creative transformation and innovative development of fine traditional Chinese culture, and realize the compatibility of fine traditional Chinese culture with the spirit of the times; we should adhere to the guiding position of Marxism and the dominant position of the CPC, take the initiative in dealing with the many challenges and dilemmas currently confronting the mankind, and actively promote the development of the human society and the progress of human civilization.
