Tan Peiwen:Explanation of Marx’s Significance of Labor from a Civilized Perspective:A Study on Economic & Philosophic Manuscripts of 1844
     Release time: 2024-06-13
Abstract: Academic research in China has always focused on the critique of alienated labor in the Economic & Philosophic Manuscripts of 1844, with little explanation of the significance of labor from a civilized perspective. Marx believed that Hegel only focused on the positive aspects of labor and did not see the negative aspects of labor, but this does not mean that Marx ignored the positive aspects of labor. Marx elaborated on the positive significance of labor based on the progress of civilization, and criticized the abstractness and unreality of Hegel’s spiritual labor taking capitalist alienated labor as a typical example. Socialist labor is a free and conscious activity that endows labor with the significance of the progress of civilization. To construct labor activities according to the law of beauty should be the core idea of high-quality development and comprehensive modernization.
