Kuai Zhengming:The Democratic Thought of Marx and Engels: Tracing the Source of the Theory of Whole-Process People’s Democracy
     Release time: 2025-06-05
The democratic thought of Marx and Engels is a complete theoretical system. It takes truly guaranteeing the people’s status as masters of the country as its value goal, is based on the public ownership of the means of production, takes the leadership of the proletarian Party as the fundamental guarantee, and takes the integrated guarantee of the people’s right to vote, right to participate, right to supervise, etc. as its practical form. Whole-process people’s democracy not only inherits the democratic thought of Marx and Engels, but also makes significant innovations to it in light of the practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.It transcends the development logic of Western democracy, which simplifies democracy to electoral democracy, and contributes Chinese wisdom and a Chinese solution to the enrichment and development of human political civilization.
