Liu Xiongwei:Marx practiced the dialectic of the overcoming of nihilism

Based on the context of the intellectual history of the 19th century, it can be found that Marx’s practical dialectic is intended to respond to the nihilistic fate of the German dialectic movement since Hegel. In its rebellion against Christian theology and Hegelian philosophy, the German dialectical movement exaggerated the subjectivity of the “self” and inevitably fell into the trap of nihilism. Marx, on the other hand, transformed the abstract “self” into a “real person” through the transformation of the carrier of dialectics, and truly cut into the essential dimension of real history. Marx believed that human life is constantly generated in man’s own perceptual practical activities, is self-sufficient, and once measured by a measure other than life, life itself will be distorted into an existence that needs to be saved by external forces, and nihilism will become inevitable. Marx’s practical dialectics focused on the emancipation of man in the process of transforming the world, becoming an endogenous force for overcoming nihilism. It is of great theoretical significance to return to the context of Marx’s ideological history to clarify the original ideological appearance of practical dialectics for promoting the study of Marxist dialectics.
