Huang Zaisheng: “Digital Prosperity”, Digital Labor 2.0 and the Predatory Nature of Capital Accumulation: A Preliminary Study on Large Model Production in Digital Capitalism
     Release time: 2025-05-12
Nowadays, the accelerated upgrading and large-scale application of generative Al are ushering in a new industrial revolution, and digital capitalism is entering the era of large model production. In general, the “one-click generation” in large model production has unleashed tremendous production efficiency, leading to a massive influx of capitalist digital wealth. At the same time, large model production reshapes the process, content and mode of digital labor, and promotes the increasingly predatory accumulation of digital capital, thus making the production boundaries of capital increasingly visible. Based on the critical perspective of Marxist political economy, this paper examines the “digital prosperity” created by large model production, elaborates on the “change” and “invariance” in the value movement of digital capitalism, and helps deepen our understanding of the regularity of Al application in the context of comtemporary capitalist economy. Furthermore, it is also beneficial to forge a path of large model development with Chinese characteristics, accelerate the development of new quality productive forces according to local conditions, and continuously promote the high-quality development of China’s digital economy.
