The construction of digital ecological civilization encompasses both the narrow aim of achieving the digitalization of ecological civilization and building a digital governance system for a beautiful China, as well as the broader theoretical innovation space for the emergence of new forms of human civilization catalyzed by new quality productive forces. With the arrival of the era of dual transformations towards digitalization and ecologization of civilization,exploring the logic of generating digital ecological civilization oriented towards Chinese path to modernization has significant theoretical and practical value. This exploration helps us understand the convergence of ecological civilization and digital civilization in the post-industrial era, as well as clarifies the organic composition and practical path of Chinese path to modernization in creating new forms of human civilization. Based on the historical logic of civilizational transformation under technological change and changes in the relationship between humans and nature, we can explore the characteristics and internal connections of human civilizational form evolution under the progress of productive forces, as well as the implications of digital ecological civilization oriented towards Chinese path to modernization. Grounded in the theory of production factor innovation and the paradigm shifts in technology-economy through four industrial revolutions, we can clarify the theoretical logic of digital ecological civilization construction from the dimensions of factors technology, economy, society, culture, governance, and global civilizational exchange. Accelerating the construction of digital ecological civilization requires actively elucidating the practice logic of cultivating digital ecological factors, innovating digital ecological technologies, developing digital ecological economies, constructing digital ecological societies, promoting digital ecological cultures, strengthening digital ecological governance, and building global digital ecological civilizations.
