Li Tian:On the shaping of political consensus through the entire process of people’s democracy
     Release time: 2024-06-20
Political consensus, as a product of democratic practice with profound connotations, is a key element in promoting the efficient and orderly operation of democratic systems, directly affecting the state and quality of democratic development. The ability to shape political consensus is an important criterion for testing the scientific and effective operation of democratic procedures, and constitutes an objective measure of the maturity of democratic systems. Under the leadership of the CPC, people’s democracy in the whole process focuses on widely gathering political consensus in all aspects and stages of democratic practice, which is a significant political advantage of Chinese style democracy. From the perspective of the mechanism of democratic practice, the entire process of people’s democracy can shape a strong political consensus through the cultivation of democratic values, mobilization of social subjects, gathering of public will, transformation of practical effectiveness, construction of political authority, and consolidation of democratic identity, thereby creating favorable conditions for improving the overall effectiveness of socialist democracy with Chinese characteristics.
