The international spread and communication of Xi Jinping thought on ecological civilization and its research have been conducted through two main channels: first, reports, reviews, analysis and discussions by international mainstream media, academic journals and organizations; second, international communication carried out by foreign affairs departments, international communication offices and publicity departments, news media, publishing press, etc. While significant progress has been made in both channels, as demonstrated by the fact that Xi Jinping thought on ecological civilization and its implementation in China have been included in the topics of various international conferences and have captured the world’s attention, there is still room for improvement in terms of both the practical effects of such international communication and the deep understanding of the complex structure and dynamic mechanisms involved. In order to substantially improve the overall quality and level of its international communication and its research, it is necessary to continue to raise awareness of the importance and urgency of it on one hand, on the other hand, systematically study and optimize the medium, path, and mechanism for the international communication of Xi Jinping thought on ecological civilization.
