The strategic task of “accelerating the construction of the independent knowledge system of Chinese philosophy and social sciences” is an inevitable requirement for the practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics when reaching a certain stage of development on summarizing China’s development experience and solving problems in China and even in the world. To build a “strong” philosophy and social science with Chinese characteristics that matches the great modern socialist country, it is necessary to base on the construction of an independent knowledge system of China. The construction of philosophy and social science with Chinese independent knowledge system is “necessary for China”, “necessary for the times” and “necessary for the world”. We should take Marxism as the guide, get rid of apprentice thinking and imitation, promote the theoretical development of the excellent Chinese traditional culture, seek to create theories to solve China’s and even the world’s problems, and build a new paradigm of theoretical interpretation, so that Chinese theories can contribute to guiding the development of China and even all of humanity.
