Hu Leming and Zhang Jiangang:The New Normal of Capitalism in a Post-Crisis Era
     Release time: 2018-04-19

The history of capitalism witnessed three worldwide fatal crises, each of which imposed revolutionary changes on previous running mode of capitalism. The recent global economic crisis of 2007-2009 terminated neo-liberalism, opening up a new historical phase for capitalism. In this new age, the integration, connection and combination of various trends, that is to say, economic globalization, economic financialization, industrial services, and intelligent production, produces a new normal for capitalism. Since the crisis, major western capitalist countries successively started “re-industrializatinn”, continuously promoted manufacturing intelligence update, and speeded up the construction of “unmanned factory” and “intelligent factory”. China should be prepared for the new normal of capitalism characterized by low economic growth, go with the trend of new revolution of information technology, reinforce intellectualized upgrading of traditional manufacturing, and nourish new driving force for economic growth.
