Marx and Engels attached great importance to maintaining the purity of proletarian party. Although they did not systematically propose related theories, they have developed initial thoughts of maintaining the party's purity and brought forward primary design,institution,principles,samples,requirements,and direction for the purpose. As the world is experiencing dramatic social,economic, political, and cultural changes, the condition formaintaining the purity of proletarian party first designed by Marx and Engels also underwent changes. Maintaining the purity is confronted with the issues concerning how to keep ideological purity, maintain the pioneership of the working class,exert the supervision role of party congress,supervise and check inner-party power, and etc.These tests and practical problems urge the Marxist political party to pay close attention to the new problems and new situations in the new historical period to maintain the party' s purity through reform and innovation.
