Given that security serves as a premise and basis for development,national security comes as a prerequisite for the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation. The world has been going through unprecedentedly dramatic changes in various situations,namely the contrast of international power, the systematic structure of global governance, Asia-Pacific geopolitical situation,and the competition in international economy, technology and military strength. In China’s significant transformation from a big nation to a powerful one, domestic and outside challenges alternatively pop up, and national security issues tend to be complicated and risk-increasing with the intertwined emergence of traditional and non-traditional security concerns. Confronted with new features and trends of national security,we shall uphold the guidance of the overall national security concept, and effectively drum up our security-maintaining competence through army strengthening.
