The ideological permeation through "constitutional democracy" and "universal value" is the new move of overturning the fundamental political system of socialism with Chinese characteristics by the West. This paper argues that emphasizing the systemic design such as rotation of ruling parties and separation of the three powers in isolation and impose as universal model of democracy has resulted in a gap between Western democracy and the values of equalityreasonefficiency and harmony, which in turn leads to the corruption of democracy and the crisis of democratic regime. To incorporate the construction of democracy into the general framework of national and social development, achieve national prosperitypeople's affluence and social equality and justice, and allow people to become their own master during the process of gradual development towards common prosperity, are manifestations of the vitality of socialist democracy with Chinese characteristics.
