Zheng Chaojing:On the Interpretation and Development of Collectivism:From the Perspective of the Comprehensive Freedom of Individuals
     Release time: 2015-11-22

Collectivism is one of the basic ideas of socialism, taking personal autonomy and initiative as its humanistic foundation and the all--round development of individuals as its intuitive characterization. The  self-sufficient  production  mode  and  the  self-contained communication pattern of Feudalism provided no ground for collectivism.Neither did Capitalism in which production and life are subject to reification and lead to the alienation of work, individual and group. Collectivism is the inevitable product of the socialist system;however, the real collectivism is different from abstract collectivism or individualism. Under the existing mode of production and communication, the development of collectivism ought to seize the opportunity that the subjective consciousness  of individuals has increasingly awakened, encourage individuals to form a real group by exerting their autonomy and initiative in production and life, and guide collectivism towards perfection.
