There’s a popular view among Chinese academics that, adopted by foreigners with ulterior motives,China model should be used with caution. Opposing to the view, this article emphasizes that DengXiaoping had mentioned China model as early as 1980s and stressed that each nation should thinkindependently to find development model confirming to its actual conditions. Without any intent todemonstrate, China model mentioned by Deng focuses on the diversity of socialist construction andmodernization path. It is not to reflect nationalism, but the consistent demand from proletariat to respectnational characteristics and national differences. China model can be referred by other countries, but can’tbe copied, nor imposed, which differs it from the so called “consensus”. China model needs improving withtimes, but this does not hinder its objective reality.
