The economic thoughts explicated in aseries of important speeches by Xi Jinping began a new chapter for “the political economy thatcombines the tenets of Marxism with the socialist practice of contemporary China” proposed by DengXiaoping in 1984.Moreover,laying emphasis on the method of tracing “the facts of national economy” to “problem consciousness,”then to “being forced by problems,” Xi’s economic thoughts aim to revealthe essence of economic reform and development theories from the perspective of studying theunderlying relations between the past and future.
